5.- Unit 6

UNIT 6: Spending my time…

My name is Bernat Díaz Sala and I’m student in Casa Nostra School in Banyoles. I’m interested in music and tennis. Some of my friends are into tennis too. The people who I spend most time with are my class mates, for example Pau, Gerard, Jordi, etc, but I spend time with other friends that they are in another school. The thing which I like best is going to a party all together.
I don’t think that the world is a bad place, although I think we could improve it if we shared things more with each other. There aren’t many things that make me angry, for example the people who throw the rubbish outside of the bin, but one thing that annoys me is when people are rude and ignorant.

As far as the future is concerned, it sometimes worries me that we won’t have peace, everybody is killing for food or for the things that the “rich people” wants to buy. I find it a bit frightening that there’s always a war somewhere in the world for stupid things, sometimes. I’m fairly optimistic about my own future though. In a few years time, I see myself travelling around the world with my music band, me the guitarist, or, working on a big multinational making some virtual games.

3.- Writing unit 4:

Hi, Pepa
I’m just writing to check that everything’s OK for your visit.
I think you’ll like Barcelona. On Saturday morning we’re doing a bus tour with my parents because they really want to show you the city, we’ll be free in the afternoon, and so we’ll probably go shopping or visit the city. It’s up to you. I expect we’ll end up in one of the cafés in the shopping center, one of the best in the city.
On Sunday, we could get a bus or my car somewhere. There are some typical Catalan villages around here, like Girona, or L’Escala. There isn’t much to do in them, but they’re very pretty places, I’ll get some photos and you can have a look.
We’re going to meet you at the airport tomorrow, so can you remind me what time your plane lands?
Looking forward to seeing you.
Bernat

WRITINT UNIT 2

Hi Joan,
We’ve been on holiday here in the Bahamas for a week now and I’ve just met this girl, Laura. She’s absolutely gorgeous, but I’m not sure how I feel about her. I need your advice.
I met her on the beach and I invited her to go sailing with me. Both of us were having a real laugh and then Laura invited me to a café with his friends. When we were there, she basically ignored me and started flirting with an English boy. But when I said goodbye, she walked to the hotel where that I was staying and neither of us could stop talking. When we arrived next to my hotel, I almost kissed her.
I’ve been thinking about things a lot since then. I’ll probably see her later, but I’m not sure what to do if he asks me out. She seems very different when she’s with friends. What do you reckon?
